How does the Community Help Golff Protocol?

Community is one of the main focus points of Golff Protocol. It is, after all, a community-driven project.

However, this doesn’t mean the community is 100% in charge of the endeavors of the project. They just play a big role.

Golff protocol has 3 main branches: developers, administrative, and community.

We try our best to keep a balance between these 3 parts so that we can grow the project on all fronts.

Developers

Development is crucial for a project in DeFi. It’s a living organism, and we treat it as such. We have a roadmap and real objectives. This requires expertise, especially when it comes to smart contracts.

As most of you already know, our tokenomics are greatly technical and complex. This makes it hard to open-source the project 100% because of these reasons. We still need a team of developers that understand the whole ecosystem and can ‘navigate’ through its code when changes or updates are needed.

Administrative

Leadership is always needed for anything in this world, whether you have a business, project, or charity event. The administration is equally as important.

In DeFi, there is a weird relationship with leadership, but this is a topic for another article in full.

I’ve always faced the misconception that management is evil and leadership is good. Frankly, this is not true at all.

The truth is management is about taking care of your team members individually to cultivate their skills, values, and passions. Leadership is to take care of the tea as a whole. This is why leadership is focused on vision and values. How you can unite all your team members into a single ‘organism’ with a single purpose.

The administration is a bit of management plus operations and activities needed for the well-being and growth of the project now and in the long term.

Leadership is difficult in DeFi. Simply because of decentralization. When it’s a project for everyone, with no one single leader…who leads it? This is a topic for another article, but we’ll explore it shortly now as well.

The answer is community. This is why governance exists.

Community

For Golff, the community is critical. As you may have observed, there is not a mention of “marketing” or “advertising” in this article. The reason is because Golff doesn’t have any…kind of.

We employ community managers that are the ‘leaders’ of our community. They are in close relationships with the administration, so they can deliver the best insights and content for our holders via social media, blogs, and personal initiatives.

This is our idea of Marketing. Administration together with community managers and governance, we plan marketing campaigns in the form of Airdrops, AMAs, bug bounty programs, and more.

Our Community managers have 3 purposes: take care of our community on telegram, disseminate good social media content about the project, and spread the word about Golff in their respective local communities. Some have their own blogs, other Instagram profiles. Each person has his/her own set of skills, passions, and strengths. Some of them are writing about Golff, others make videos, others make memes or stickers. There is a place for anyone.

As we said, we employ a team of developers. But we are a community-driven project. Therefore, we still need to find ways to provide opportunities for the programmers in the community.

This is why we launched a bug bounty program. Each one of you, who can code smart contracts, can look through our contracts and if you find and document a vulnerability, you will be rewarded for your efforts with up to $20,000 in GOF.

Everyone is rewarded in our ecosystem, whether you are looking for bugs, bringing value as a Community Manager, participate in Airdrops, or just hold your GOF in our Farms and Vaults.

Voluntary action doesn’t mean ‘for free’ in our minds. It’s about passions and adding value without expecting something in return. Fortunately, you will be rewarded, one way or another.
